Frankie Bones is the man! His Bonesbreaks and Looney Tunes 12s in the late 80s opened the door for him to make his first UK appearance in 1989. Initially a 5000 capacity event, word quickly spread and there was an estimated 25,000 in attendance.
It was a seminal moment for Frankie as he played and realised that he needed to take this back the US. As a result the Storm Raves were set up and helped launch the careers of many a stateside DJ.
One of his many classic productions is “Funky Acid Makossa”. It’s a simple track with a killer groove made for the rave.
